Evening all!

This is a handy, cheap option on the E60.....should really be standard.

Does anyone know if it can be retrofitted easily, or does the cost/bother become silly?

Sme say that only light sensors need to be changed, while others say new headlamps are needed....

Anyone out there know???

Sorry, no idea on refit, but I can tell you its a good option, its amazing when you see it in action, flicking high-beam on/off when it sees oncoming traffic smile

it's a waste of time, mine constantly dips when it sees signs reflecting back and at exactly when you need the full beam, then takes an age to come back on.....pointless

+1 takes as long to change back as it does to change gear! Load of pap.

I love it, but I live in the country, hence none of the above mentioned problems wink

I quite like it, but find that, even in the country, there are enough reflective signs to make it keep dipping the lights.

How do you know if you have it, without driving at night to find out?

I have it on my m3-it doesn't always dip immediately when there is oncoming traffic which causes problems and also means that I now never use it.it does sound good in the brochure but I wouldn't spec it again

I think I have this. There is a white square recessed hole on the back of the mirror. Is that it?

No, I think that is for the dimming rear view?

Just pull the full beam stalk forward twice, if a little "A" pops up on the dash you have it wink

Its one of the best options ive had one a car to be honest, something i never thought I would use, but when its in action its brilliant, makes night driving easier. only thing is as others have said it does get confused by reflecting signs.
