Morning all.

My brakes - the entire system really - are at the end of their life. I am getting some freshly refurbed calipers from http://www.biggred.co.uk which is pretty good value at £241 for the full set of 4 including coloured powedercoating. I have a set already to send them and, when they are back and fitted to the car, the calipers that come off they will take for £40 my way so that makes a full caliper refresh for £201.

Anyway, I will be fitting the braided brake hoses, uprated fluids, new disks and EBC yellow pads (I have been very pleased with these to date). I know everyone says stick with OEM disks but can anyone recommend where might be most cost effective to get those from?

ECP sell them for about £240ish, your dealer sells them for about £260ish. However if you play nice the dealer will give you 10% off. Not found anywhere else that will sell proper floating discs for less.

They're sponsors on a couple of forums - bmwowner.com and bmw5.co.uk are two that spring to mind, and from memory they quoted me £100ea inc vat and delivery about 10 months ago.

I would get them from ECP, exact same ones for a fraction.....only buy from dealers what you cant get anywhere else...having said that Cotswolds are very good and have sent everything I wanted within a day or so.
