I know this is a funny question but can you fit a tow bar on a E36 m3 Convertible(or coupe)?

Thanks

Not 100% sure, but if it helps: I don't think the UK market ever homologated the e36 M3 with a towbar, in any of its forms. But, in saying that, I have a Westfalia removeable on my M3 saloon. It was a bh to fit (so my man told me!), mainly down to the electrics, I guess because it should plug'n'play. The components you get replace the rear bumber irons for new ones, which the bar then hangs from. The key Motorsport bit you need is the rear diffuser, which has a cut out & a removeable panel so you can access the socket for the electrics & female socket for the removable bit. Mine came from a 328 Sport originally, I took a punt on eBay. Worth having a play on www.realOEM.com ,see if anything pops up on the accessories page.

Yes you can fit a tow bar to an e36 m3, I had one on my evo Coupe with a removable hitch. You'd have not known it was there unless towing. I think post 1998 cars should be type approved but the tow bar for pre 98 m3's will fit the later cars.

I think mine came from watling towbars
