what have people on here done to modify their m3's? - any supercharged ones on here? Are there any more simple mods which are really recommended to release some more hp? some cars may only need a sports cat or new exhaust or air filter to really free up more power - is this the case with anything on the m3?

The engine is already in a relatively high state of tune so getting more from it can be expensive. The usual exhaust, filter and remap will do a little ... then cams ... the supercharger. Anything is possible, just depends on budget but you're not going to get day and night gains without spending serious money.
