I've recently bought a 2001 m3 convertible, fitted with bmw option #632- cellular phone

Its a motorola v50, and i was wondering if it was possible to change the kit for a nokia 6230.
I know i can be done on bluetooth cars, by just changing the snap-in cradle, but i dont know if it can be done.
I thought i'd simply need a 6320 snap in adapter, and part 8421 6 933 415, which is the black plastic "receptacle" that the snap- in cradle fits into. the reason i need the new receptacle is that the motorola cradle has a curly lead that plugs into the phone to charge it, allowing you to take the phone out of the cradle whilst it charges.
BMW arent sure whether the phone can be changed or not - I assume that the actual phone kit would be a standard item, with a range of cradles that fit into the car, allowing the owner to change as time goes on.

Can anybody shed some light on the situation?

Thanks
