Couple M6 questions
Discussion
When i brought the car last month it had just been serviced by the dealer.I've done 2000 miles since and the on board computer is already showing that it needs a service, is that right? And when you corner left there is a really loud knocking/klunking noise coming from front left of the car, seems odd as its just been inspected during the service
Cheers JM

If it was serviced last month (genuinely) then it sounds like either:
1. They did not reset the computer or more likely...
2. It is another item that needs seeing too (the iDrive will show all the mileage and dates for each item as there is oil services, inspections, filters, pads etc.)
As for the knocking on turn in - check the car has had it's recall done to replace the diff oil as this can cause a knocking noise on turn and sometime tricky to place exactly where the noise is coming from.

The clunking noise occured on my previous M5, should just be the diff oil that needs replacing under warranty...Cheers JM

Whatever's causing the knocking sound will be sorted, I'm sure.
The service issue might be slightly different: there are so many monitored, perishable items which will be wearing at different rates, it is inevitable that small 'jobs' rather than full services proper may be more frequent than with other cars.
How do you find it after the Sag?

Totally different car but still an event to drive. M6 all the way for me, done nearly 8,000 miles now and the car hasn't missed a beat. Struggling to think what might catch my fancy to replace it when the time comes, bang per buck there isn't really anything that comes close in my opinion anyway
