Hi Guys and Gals,

HSV.Org.uk (HSV and Monaro owners) would like to invite all Perfomance BMW owners to our 'Thunder Road' event on 18th Oct 09.

Thunder Road will take place at RAF Woodbridge(nr Ipswich) and will consist of unlimited timed standing mile runs taking place on the 2mile Runway. The timing will include 1/4 mile time, mile time and terminal speed.

The event is designed to give us all the chance to put our cars through their paces and see what they can actually do in a safe environment. It will also be an opportunity to meet other owners and have a great social day. I must stress that this is not some kind of formal competition so all cars are welcome(whatever state of tune). This genuinely is about the taking part.

The entry price is £99 for unlimited runs.

If there is an interest please respond in this thread and I will forward the link for booking online.

Regards

Phil

Difficult because it is being held on an RAF Base, so spectators are limited to those accompanying the booked cars and drivers.

Hi guys,

Have you all received emails, with details?

Please can you give me a idea if you are still going to be able to make it, or when you are going to book online.

Just trying to judge numbers for the day.

Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil, i did get the e-mail with the link thanks. Still not sure if i am going tbh, £99 seems steep for 5 runs in a straight line. I may ask my brother-in-law on Sunday if he would come up with me & run one of his cars, Ferrari 430 F1 & Lexus ISF. I will book closer the time if i decide to go.

Thanks Simon.

Simon,

You will get UNLIMITED runs all day......5 would be the absolute minimum and was carried over from the description of a previous event when creating the web page.

To put into context on the last event most cars ran 10+ (I actually did 15biggrin)

regards

Phil
