Damn this car is great. It's used for work in the week, family duties at the weekend, and now the occasional track day.

trying the infamous hands-free drifting....

The wet makes it easier as you've got less traction to break.

Here's my older über-barge just about breaking traction on a damp Elvington

Ditto the great video. Looks like you had a lot of fun.

I'd be interested to hear your impression on Colerne as a venue. We did a tarmac rally there a fair few years ago, however I've never done a track day there that lets you get to any proper speed. Worth doing? From your video, it appears a little difficult to pick braking and turn in points without the normal track kerbs and markings .... I did a track day at Wroughton a long long time ago, but that airfield has a lot more visibility and gradients that make it easy to know where you are. Maybe it's just the "key hole view" the youtube video gives, but it looks pretty featureless.

I like Colerne as a track. Airfields are never quite the same as a "real" circuit but I really like the low-risk factor when driving it in nice cars and because of that they are more enjoyable in some ways. I would not feel anywhere near as comfortable playing with the car at 100 MPH on circuits where I've seen plenty of people slide off into barriers.

They are also cheaper, and are usual open pit so plenty of time on track. Even on that day, there were 50 cars at the event but it was never really too busy and could go on track with hardly any waiting time whenever we wanted.

I have another video on you tube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpAPmbhbnko and you'll see another day i did but with different camera angle which may help.

I cannot compare to other track days on airfields but i certainly think it's a good cheap day out so highly recommended...!
