2. Anyone know a good place to obtain the tyres from at best prices?
3. Anyone in London know a really good independent for repairs/work?
4. Is it worth signing up to the BMW car club for info on events etc for owners?
cheers,
B

I will answer about the grade of fuel.
Two points.
1. Super unleaded contains MORE cleaning agents thus will help with keeping the car on song.
2. Super unleaded is a higher octane, 97 to 99 than unleaded (95). Thus the ECU can advance the ignition without knocking and then the engine will produce more power.

The car can advance the ignition to make use of 97 ron fuel. I always use V-power, although never tried normal fuel. I believe that there is a higher chance that your car will 'kangaroo' worse when cold if you use normal fuel.
With regards to garages, if you live in NW London, there is a superb garage called BMWorx who are based in Stoke Mandeville. BMW specialists with a decent knowledge of M cars (they prep them for the Kumho Championship).

If the BMW owner's club days are a bit naff, is there any local (London based) meets etc, for people who like to drive em the way they are meant to be driven?
Try your local 'cruize'

Run it on Tesco's 99.. its a little more expensive at the pump.. but you will get 10% better overall fuel consumption...!I just got myself an M3, first proper performance car, and it rocks. Have a few questions for the experts of the forum pages:
