I'm Back in the M Power Club!!!

Went looking to buy an RS4 Estate this morning, missus took it for a drive, loved it. Then we put the kiddie car seats in but....no room in the back. Also felt cheap (and a little slow to me).

Rang my local BMW dealer to see how much M5 tourings were and lo and behold he had one on his showroom floor.
Just the spec we wanted, only 3K over the price of the RS4.

After an hour haggling I got 2.5K off the rrp plus a roof bike rack and an ipod connection thrown in.

Very lucky as it's near end of month and they were 80K short of target and desperate so my 38K has helped them somewhat.

Well Chuffed to be Back in the 'M' Fold as it's been 2 years since my M3 CSL (great car!)

It's the same spec as this:




PS, it was faster, firmer and far more of a solid, quality feeling when compared to the RS4

Not being a killjoy, but isn't the RS6 more comparable to the 5er than the RS4?

Yes but the RS6 is also 18K - 20K more on the 2nd hand market. Pricewise the M5 Touring is up against the old shape E55 and RS4's and for me it's better than both of them.
