Decided to sell after owning from new. It's immaculate and had fortunes spent on it. Thinking about an M3 CSL or Maser Gransport in the Spring. PM me with any questions at all. Cheers all.

WOW - great car. Love the look of it, the CSL wheels make such a difference to them, as they do to the M3s.

That's where the battery, puncture repair kit and toolkit sit - there's no room for it anywhere else.

On my Z4C (not M), all that stuff is under the boot floor flap – what's there in the M?

I think maybe you mean the Alpine Amp in the boot? There's also the box on the right housing the battery etc as others have said in their posts.

Wouldn't that positioning be called 'centre' rather than 'right' though?

I realised the thing in the centre was the amp; my question was about the box on the right. Thanks.

Where did you get your sound system done?

The only think that lets my car down is the OEM standard system.

The OEM logic 7 system is very good.

I have enquired about getting Logic 7 retro-fitted, but for some reason BMW say it is impossible. Really don't understand why.

A lot of the options on the Z4 are build options only and can`t be retro fitted. If the logic 7 could be retro fitted it would probably be hideously expensive as would need, dash, seat and door trim removal and possibly a different rear bulkhead?

That's looks like a lovely car. I test drove a similar car a few years back and got close to buying one at one stage. Still think they are fantastic looking and there's definitely an element of rarity to them.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks.

Stereo install done by Drivers in Glasgow. It's quite straightforward, the cubby hole things behind the seats - in non-Logic 7 cars - can easily be removed leaving either nice areas for simple custom housings - as i have done - or you can buy the plastic grills that Logic 7 cars have and install behind them. The original speakers were all replaced by better quality items and then a small Alpine amp installed to run them. You could easily hide this if you wanted to.

The result is much much better than standard and easily as good as Logic 7 (which is actually not bad).

The ipod controller thingy is the best bit and recommended to anyone. Brings ipod menus onto the nav screen and also plays movies etc from the ipod. It's all controlled by a remote so no visable signs of the install at all.
