Car is about to hit 3 years old and will be out of warranty. Not going to risk not having one so have been in contact with BMW. They sent me the following (thought it would be of interest to some folks):

Should add, thought about trying Tesco but they will not cover BMW M series and to be honest their prestige warranty is not as good as BMW's comprehensive.

Comprehensive
£0 excess with Emergency service: £951 (£873 without)
£100 excess with Emergency service:£835 (£757 without)
£250 excess with Emergency service: £690 (£612 without)

All prices above can be paid monthly.

Comprehensive covers:

Engine
Timing Belts
Turbocharger
Manual/Automatic Gearbox
Final Drive
Front Wheel Drive Unit
4 Wheel Drive System
Propshaft
Clutch (non frictional items)
Steering
Braking System
Cooling System
Electrical System
Starter Motor
Alternator
Electronic Control Units
Anti Lock Braking System
Fuel System
Fuel Injectors/Glow Plugs
Front and Rear Suspension
Air Conditioning System
Airbag System
On Board Computer
Park Distance Control
Satellite Navigation
In Car Entertainment Systems
Communications Systems
Dashboard Display Units/Monitors

Having recently bought a Z4M R this is quite useful, giving me an idea of what I will have to pay in a year if I want my warranty to continue.

For interest, what mileage is your car as I am told that makes a difference to the £££
