Following on from the EVO ''Turkey of the year award'' for the X6M I just wanted to know if either really were that bad?

I think the X5/6 M cars are great soft roaders with impressive performance, however, I think it is more of a 'M sports' edition than a proper 'M' road car.

I disagree with Evo's comments.

Having driven the E70 X5 extensively in both diesel iterations I think it is quite possibly one of the best cars BMW makes.

A full fat 550bhp V8 version will be quite some machine yes

Well I have the X635D now with the p-tronic Power Box ( which is up for sale on these boards cheap) with the box it's both economical and quick raising power too 367BHP, without it not quite so.
The handling is very very good for a car of this size.

The new X5M I drove this week and IMO is just plain stupid, yes it's quick and handles well for it's weight but just "Overkill" and almost all of the time "unuseable".The car looks plain and in no way IMO justifies the 80K+ price tag.

I have the M3 E90 M-DCT with EDC on order for december, this suits my needs better as the X6 is just soooo big and hard to find parking for.

They liek the X5. They just don't see the point of the M version.

Remember those little red sun stickers on the back of 2CVs years ago that said 'Nuclear Power, Nein Danke'?

We ought to get some made up with blue / white chequer background with 'X6M, Nein Danke!'

Should be sported on the rump of all proper M cars.... voila! instant cool, like the deux chevaux!

£5.

Easy for you to say, Zod. Not so easy to understand, though. Is that German? Legalese? Basterdergery? biggrin

It's a verb meaning to like something so much that you lick it. It must happen to you all the time. lickvomit
