I managed 10 days I think until the initial service. It is painful with only 5500 rpm to play with but it is still rapid enough.
Enjoy
It's got dct, edc, bluetooth, comfort mirrors, front park sensors and seat heating etc.. all the main toys on the whole.Enjoy
I got a good deal with the dealer but not sure if the first running in service is free, whats peoples experience of this?
Before the deposit for the car was paid, I insisted that the cost of the running in service was met by the dealer as BMW had just changed their view about offering the running in service for free.
It didn't stop the service department asking for payment when I collected the car but I refered them to the salesman and was not charged.
IMHO, after spending the best part of 60k on a new car, why the hell should you be charged X amount for an oil change after 1200miles?

I was curious as I've seen a few mentions of expecting to pick these up, new, for around £50k even with options. Did you get the £2500 worth of free options as per the current offer too?

A friend has just had his written off after being hit by a bus.
Fully loaded car with £12k of options.
08 reg with 10k miles.
Insurance company are paying out £34k
Well if he accepts that offer then he only has himself to blame. Similar cars are £40k+ on bmw.co.uk, why does he not refer them to that?Fully loaded car with £12k of options.

Insurance has a legal obligation to put you back in the position you started, £34k does not meet that obligation.

Why buy one new? A year old you can save £20k....
Suppose £20k is not relevant to some though eh?
If only £20k didn't matter! lol! Suppose £20k is not relevant to some though eh?
I'm not sure where to find these year old cars with a £20k saving though, if they are selling for around the £50k mark, even with options. Then £40k (which most seem to be priced at) is either a bit strong or the cars hold their money exceptionally well.
