Just popped a holding deposit on this...! http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details/0,,1260...
Been looking for sooo long but the misses went on holiday two days ago so am taking my chance while she is away!
Just wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about the car's past and if there are any things to look out for or anything that I should be looking to get thrown in on the deal...this is my first dealer purchase!
Cheers

Looks lovely !
When you drive it don't be surprised if the gearchange is really notchy and obstructive from first to second and the combination of clutch and gearbox make it difficult to drive smoothly ....
They are all like that and it takes a couple of months to get used to how to drive it smoothly

Go for it, you`ll love it. Take the time to get to know it, it`s an onion of a car.
D'you know, that is possibly the best description of the car yet
I'm still discovering some of layers after four months of ownership.
OP well done. These things are ruddy bargains right now. Enjoy.
Well done mate!
These are fabulous, lively cars that are misrepresented by fools who don't understand them!
Learn what it is, what it does and just grab it by the balls and drive it(in the dry).....that screaming straight six is a masterpiece of an engine. I had the pleasure of one for a weekend last summer and just loved it (M5 was something else though!)
Great value too.....just be careful to accelerate progressively when exiting greasy/wet corners!

Have you modified your CDV?When you drive it don't be surprised if the gearchange is really notchy and obstructive from first to second and the combination of clutch and gearbox make it difficult to drive smoothly ....

And for constructive advice:
- make sure it had the 1200 mile running in service
- check the mobility kit is complete in the boot
- check the wheel centres as the BMW decals can fray at the edges, push for replacement if they have
- be prepared to kangaroo hop it in 1st and 2nd gear, particularly in Sport mode, until you get used to it
Enjoy!

No, I am aware of the mod but have managed to adjust my driving to accomodate the way the car is ... It took three months but I have it sorted now Tea Pot One said:

I love the whole package - a superb car ... and quite rare on the roads. Edited by Tea Pot One on Sunday 3rd January 12:12
