OK - who's paid the lowest price for an DEALERSHIP Inspection 2 on an E39 M5?

Never bothered. Waste of money.
Specialists are the way to go with the old things.

Keystone in Ringwood are very good if that's anywhere near you...? Looked after my M5 most of it's life and it runs great. A mechanic mate did bit of work on mine the other day and he said he could tell it had been worked on "properly" before, just by how things were tightened up correctly and not just pounded together with an air gun. Only a small garage but BMW specialists I can assure you.

I think they quoted me an insp 2 at about 250 pounds before...?

think website is www.keycops.co.uk

£250 is really good Rich.

Is that using TWS?

To be honest - the Insp 2 on the E39 isnt that major. The plugs take the longest, the rest is all the same. The Diff + Gbox fluids are ignored so that saves £100 in oil alone.

I know for a fact that a top specialist (such as Munich Legends) know more about these cars, and can therefore look after them better than BMW themselves, but you still get people who say "has it got FBMWSH?" even at 120k miles + (mines at 98k)

BMW stamps do look good in the book!

Here's a few independents that I know off that are very good at what they do with ///M cars and highly recommended on the M5 Board.

Darjac Racing in Earls Colne, Essex - 07807 589538 / 01787 223644
NCB Autokraft in Birmingham - 01564 703434
CPC Performance in Rickmansworth - 01923 283274

There are others, but these are the only ones I've got any experience with.
