Guys,

Does anyone know if you can get BMW to put a warranty on a car that has expired?
Looking at a 2007 Z4m that is out of warranty and would like that extra piece of mind.

If it can be done any idea on costs? and how to go about it. Just spoke to my local bmw dealer and he said he wasnt sure.

As far as I am aware you cant do it! When i get the renewal letter for my BM warranty each yr, it states in bold font that if i miss the deadline there is absolutely no way i will ever be able to renew...

All changed now..... yep you just register it with them & set up a monthly payment....
Depends on the cover you want, but i think a z4m is about £700 ish... (goes up hugely after 60K)

All here http://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/Pages/Information.as...

P.S
There's no pre check, they just won't cover you for the 1st month.....

For the 'full' cover It's about £700 for a £250/claim excess, £835 for a £150/claim excess, or £950 for a no excess policy.

The 'named component' and 'driveline' policies are cheaper again by a factor of about 15% and 30% respectively.
