You might be able to fit the later module which is digital compatible.

I don't know of a mod for the older ones

I'm facing the same problem soon so I asked around and was quoted around £800-£900 yikes for a digital tuner but the upside would be that I would receive digital radio as well.

Hopefully someone will be along soon to tell me it can be done cheaper.

yeah i've also heard of some shocking quotes. Been on m5board and a few people over there have found other ways todo it alot cheaper plus you can sell the origional reciever for around 200 pound.

I bought a BMW digital tuner from ebay.de for around £450 a few months ago. Still expensive but a lot less than buying new. It's no great shakes but it does allow my daughter to watch Cbeebies smile If anyone wants my old analog tuner for £200 I'll gladly sell it to them smile)

You can buy a cheap (£50 ish ) generic dvb tuner on Ebay. You can then wire the tuner into the av input of your existing screen. I have one in mine , fitted by the previous owner . I can't tell you if it's any good because it's been disconnected due to him breaking the remote control for it. I keep meaning to track down a remote for it or even a new tuner the same make and see if it works.
