Anybody know of a BMW breaker who has an M5 in, need the front discs as I've just been told mine are slightly warped!

Some on eBay but they're only selling as a jib lot, front, rear and callipers.

Thanks

I need rear pads and discs in 3000 miles, front pads and discs in 8000 miles.

Surely new discs aren't that much, don't think I'd want to chance it on second hand ones, might well be in the same condition as yours already.

Fronts were something like £300 + VAT each, without fitting!

Nobody else seems to make them either, only BMW (or are they Brembo anyway?)

I wouldn't put used discs on a £500 banger, let alone a 500bhp hypersaloon.

No one ever said M\\\ life was a cheap life.

If you are worrying about the cost of front discs, you are sat in the wrong car!

Why buy a £65k car (new) and worry about wear and tear items...............

God help you if you don't have BMW warranty!

It's not that I'm worrying about the cost, it's the fact that I only bought it in Nov last year and I didn't expect to spend the best part of £1,000 in less than 3 months. I just wondered if there was an alternative.

My mechanic says they're not that bad anyway, just that I'm swapping the pads in 1,500 miles and thought I might do the discs at the same time.

And yes, I have a BMW warranty, I wonder if they'd cover them actually :-) Perhaps I'll find out when it's MOT'd in March.

You could get an engineering company to put them on a lathe for you?

All my discs are pitted and need changing. BMW don't seem to think they will last the pad time.
