Anyone dealt with these guys? What are they like?

They have a nice white '08 E92 M3 coupe with 16k miles on it that I like, it seems well priced at £41k.

In my experience they are arrogant, jumped up, supercilious etc. Generally greedy; overpriced, low trade-in's and their workshop doesn't have a good reputation at work either.

I was ready to buy Z4's on two occasions, one new and one a Z4M and wanted an E46 M3. Total disinterest. Through personal contacts the owners offered to do an unbeatable deal - the salesman clearly didn't get the message and was up to their usual petty tricks and their unbeatable deal was considerably more than Woodman's down the road. Waste of an afternoon that was!

The better area dealers are woodman's in Blackpool and Batemans nr Barrow. The latter consistenly wins the BMW dealer service annual awards.

I've bought from Batemans in the past, they are excellent.

Hmmm...sales I would agree, but they do seem reasonably helpful but unfortunately priced themselves out of the deal each time I've dealt with them.

Service dept and warranty work though has been excellent though each time.

The white M3 above is lovely - I should really be saving up however. You always get tempted when you see something interesting.

Oh no, this brings back bad memories. It's over a year since I last visited Bowkers in Preston and I think it will be a long time before I go back to that place.

I've had a couple of bad experiences here. On both occasions I bought better elsewhere without the arrogance of the sales guys here. I'll give anyone a second chance but not a third!

I've since bought 2 BMWs from elsewhere and have been delighted with the service of other dealers.

Bowkers have got a pretty poor reputation in the NW, probably because of the kind of treatment I experienced.

If the deal they are offering then go for it - it's just a used car after all but don't expect any level of customer service.
