Is there any problem with putting an E46 M3 on a rolling road? I'm sure I've seen somewhere that there can be a sensor issue?

Anyone had a standard car on the rollers, if so what did it make?

Thanks

There is a problem, as the traction control system will deactivate from seeing the rear wheels moving, but not the front. When it does this, it will limit power/revs to 6500 so you won't reach full BHP, or have a brilliant chart.

Most dyno guys will know the code off the back of their hand, but in case they don't, you need to switch the ignition to the second stage (the run position), hold down the traction button for about 7-8 seconds, and when you take your finger off, the traction control light will stay on, and it's in dyno mode.

you can now run it up to the redline, but you'll need to repeat it if you switch the ignition off between runs.

some 2004-on cars don't have this little trick, and they'll need to be set into dynomode with BMW spec diagnostics, but that might only apply to US cars.
