I have decided to return to the E46 M3 fold after a short dabble with a Mini Cooper S.
I have been looking online and the example below stood out, now is it me or does this one seam to be riding a little high? The arch gap looks to be a bit bigger than others I've looked at on the internet and I'm sure it's bigger than on the one I owned.
I know pictures can be decieving but what do you guys think?

looks like the wheels arent standard OEM...perhaps aftermarket cheapo's?? the rears certainly dont look as wide as mine..
the ride height is definitely too high, perhaps the suspension has been messed with, are these 19 inch wheels?

For some reason it just doesn't sit right... I'd leave it.

Wheels look OEM, but the tyre profile looks wrong.

Rumour has it that the vendor in question is not to be touched with an eleventy foot barge pole.

Walk... nae, run; run as fast as you can.

What he said. Looks suspiciously like skinnier tyres have been fitted all round.

I certalinly wouldn't rush into buying a secondhand vehicle from the performance end of the spectrum that is engineered to fine tolerances and requires equally fine maintenance when the indications are that the previous owner had little regard for subtleties like fitting the correct size tyres!

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll give it a miss. My search continues.

Interesting that they are advertising it as having a BMW warranty, these can only be transferred from private individual to private individual. Trade sellers can't pass it on.

I don't know how traders do this? Do they treat it as a private sale?

On a seperate note, if anyone is after a cracking M3 cab with all the toys in the best colour (TI silver & Imola red), my 49k miles car may be about to go up for sale.
Just renewed the fully comp BMW warranty for another year today too.
Someone buy it before i start looking at superchargers & AP brakes again!

Looks similar to a car I saw on the A46 a couple of weeks ago. Same colour too.

This one was running suspiciously high at the rear and consequently running some serious positive camber. Looked a little like it was toeing in a lot at the rear too. Needless to say I gave it a wide berth.

EVOeng I've heard good things about BHP and I am planning on trading the Cooper S in, so I will be keeping an eye on their website.
The car you used to own is stunning, but unfortunatly out of my price range.
The other is also nice but I'm after one a little newer, around a 04/54 reg.

What's your budget.
PM me and I will see what I can do.
Give Jez a bell, and go see the cars at BHP.

They hope that BMW don't find out. Although you will 99% get away with it, I don't think it's right to be advertising something that isn't quite legit.

The car is for sale on my behalf, and so there will be a direct transfer of warranty from my name to the next owners.

The car is sitting too high.

I would guess the wheels aren't genuine.
