This might seem like a daft question, but does the E46 M3 have a jack supplied with the car or do BMW assume that because you dont have to change a wheel when there is a puncture, you dont need one.

The one I have just bought (pick it up at the weekend!!)didn't appear to have one in the boot.

If it hasn't, I presume a normal E46 jack will fit if I bought one to use for general maintenance purposes

Anybody got an answer?

I think you're right in that they don't come with one (just checked the manual). I'd imagine that the standard e46 jack would work, but I wouldn't bother with one unless you really want to keep it in the car at all times.

It is a tiny scissor jack (I had one in my 330d) and definitely wouldn't use unless I really, really need to change the tyre quickly (of which the M3 doesn't have a spare anyway).

I'd go for a small trolley jack instead if you're going to keep it in the garage.

Hi,

M3's dont have a jack (not a tyre lever) as they dont get a spare as standard. Where the spare usually is, you'll find a tyre sealant in its place.

Confused me too! smile

No jack or wrench. The "wheel well" is taken up with the compressor.
