Just had the front discs and pads renewed today on my M5 by a friend who's a mechanic only trouble is that he thinks the drivers side caliper might be seized because the piston was sticking and had a bit of trouble getting to push back... Does anyone know how much this would be and where other than going down the main dealer route i could get a pair. Seems like a good idea to do both of them at the same time. Im in the process of trying to completely refurb the entire car so dont really want second hand calipers to be honest.

Front calipers are £301 each from BMW.

ETA
Second hand they are going for about £90 on Ebay.

You might be able to get your current calipers rebuilt which doesn't take long. I would ring someone like CA automotive to see if this is possible and whether they do it. The parts are next to nothing.

Pretty sure you can get a rebuild kit (new pistons and seals) from BMW.

Not too difficult to do.

Gerry and Simon at Phoenix Motorsport in Chertsey Surrey do great caliper rebuilds.
