E9X headlight adjustment for overseas

Heading off to France tomorrow and just consulting my handbook to see how to change lights over for driving on the continent and the only thing I can find is 'BMW Service can provide masking film'
Surely this can't be right, the last two BMW's I have had with xenons have both had a small lever to move which switches the beam the opposite way.
Do I need to make a stop at the local stealers in the morning?
