aftermarket warranty for an M3 smg - which one?

A friend has just bought a nice 2004 M3 SMG convertible model.
Its out of manufacturer warranty and he bought it privately, it has got fsh and 45k miles.
Which warranty cover is worth buying, and will it enable him to take it to bmw if something goes wrong.
Will any of these after market warranties cover the SMG gearbox/clutch?
