Tesco 99 quality?
Discussion
You see i have never felt a problem, but the more i hear of this the more i feel it might be engine specific. If i had a garage near me and i could afford it, i would always run on V-power, but its got to be 130p now, tesco was 126.3p today......
Great driving weather today....... hoon tastic some might say...

I have to say I use Shell Vpower when ever I can, but due to my pitifully short range it's probably onlt 1 on every 4 tanks. But I must say I REALLY cannot tell the difference from anything I put in the tank! Vpower, or 97 superunleaded or even 97 regular unleaded. Not sure if it's percent of bhp thing or I'm just not as sensitive as some people...

I only use Tesco 99, Shell V Power or BP Ultimate - and I can't really tell the difference between the three. Given a choice, I go for Shell but I think that is good advertising on their part, Tesco is always the cheapest near me by at least a few pence per litre.
Ditto that. You probably get a bigger perfoamance difference with changing atmospheric pressure and humidity. I wonder how many people sware that their car goes better once they've filled up with the expensive stuff, but don't think that if anything, its probably going slower becasue its now cvarrying a full load of fuel?!I only ever use V-Power in my Z3M Coupé. I just don't trust Tesco stuff after the issues with too much bio-ethanol killing engines a couple of years ago. I was forced to use a tank of 95RON (Shell) when the V-Power shortage was on a few weeks back and it really did run flat in comparison.
have to say my M5 - due to the miles im doing 750 this week.....im using standard unleaded, and tescos 99 is def the best for my car - used to run it all the time on it, and it was more responsive with a bit more torq.
The wifes e46 m3 is the one most affected by 95, it coughs and hesitates on it..... - tescos 99 is great for it......plus i get me pikey points.......one free shop a quarter!!
97 unleaded doesnt really do much, Vpower is great......but more expensive...
