I just copied and pasted text from the code generator on my photobucket account.

Obviously this forum operates different.

I have just tried [thumb.] url=xxxxxxxxx[/thumb] and that didn't work.

Could someone kindly point me in the right direction?

If you have photobucket you need to cut + paste the IMG tag.
