Do you know what, the parts for this are circa £500 and any mechanic can do it - 2 hour job.

IMO its sometimes not worth the hassle fighting with rusted on discs, messing about with bodged bleed nipples and pissing about with eezibleed kits.

Front discs (for an E6x M5) alone are over £550 (rears are £360) from BMW/EuroCarParts. You can save 50% on pads though.

Still a long way from £500 for a 4-wheel disc & pad set though.

Are you using OE spec discs and pads?

I recommend using APEC discs and pads. The stopping power is terrific and they can take alot of abuse.

I sold my friend some pads for an E60 M5 18 months ago (APEC brand) and they are still biting hard and effeciently.

yikes

You're being raped.

Buy genuine kit on-line and then do the discs and pads yourself. It's an easy if fiddly job.
