Hi,

Put the M3 on the dyno for the first time today...

440.5 BHP max power. 339.4 FtLb of Torque (attached

All Stock + Eisenmann Race Muffler. 35,000 miles on the clock.
Pretty surprised that at the increase over stock?! Pleased also!

I thought I'd cured myself of a V8 M3 craving. Not anymore. That sounds lovely, and black with black wheels seals the deal for me smile

The M5 made well over its claimed 507bhp without modifications so I'm sure the M3 does too. However, I still need an Eisenmann cloud9

Was that on the mobile dyno at Dads' day out? If so I saw and heard it - sounded excellent.

Thats impressive smile Where was the dyno? I've had a few in the south on the M5 and had between 505 and 547 bhp! So quite a bit of difference between them all!

Hi Tom

Any 'before' Eisenmann exhaust fitted dyno figures?

Some 'M' cars produce a little more than their official figures, some produce a little less.

From your post, without the before figures it could be either way

1. Your car was producing say 414 bhp all standard and stock. Fitting the Eisenmann has released 26 bhp. or
2. Your car was producing 427 bhp all standard and stock, fitting the Eisenmann gave you 13 bhp.

I may be wrong completely, but to release around 25-30 bhp, you'd have to fit a full exhaust system and possibly the headers and manifold as well to get those sorts of gains. Perhaps the new M3 is more 'tunable' or responsive to just a backbox change.

Cheers, Dennis

I hear Thorney do a good tune, but they only do Miltek exhausts which sound rubbish, take a look at IND distrubution in California, they can then hook you up with a dealer in the UK. Much better selection.

i dont have any pre muffler dyno runs sadly. I agree with you that i doubt the muffler provided this much increase over stock, i think i just got a magic car!
I will need to do a few more dyno runs before i can get a more accurate measurement, I imagine this one is a little overstated, but means i can brag 440 for a few weeks... smile
