Hi

I am just after some recommendations for a polish for my carbon black e46 m3? Its got quite a few swirl marks, i intend to get it detailed / corrected at some point, but what's the best polish to help get rid of them in the mean time?

Cheers

Do you have access to a G220 or a rotary polisher? If not I would wash and dry, with the two bucket method then use a glaze.....something like Poorboys Black Hole and top off with a couple of coats of decent wax, such as Dodo Juice, Pete's 50/50 or Collinite.

If you wish to polish by hand Autoglym Super Resin Polish has fillers which will mask some of your swirl marks.

When you have access to a machine polisher look for the Menzerna range which work beautifully on BMW paints and clearcoats, which are very hard.

Thanks. I don't have access to a machine polisher so will just be doing it by hand until I have a few quid spare for a pro to do the work.

I'll get some Autoglym Super Resin Polish as suggested and see how it comes up.

Cheers!

Best thing you can do mate is ring 07779143403 and ask Tony Spears to sort you out. You will not believe the difference especially on your black car.
He has detailed my M3, my Boxster, my Evo for the last 2 years. I get all three done once per year and you just need to wax them every 3 months after that. You could spend hundreds on polish and wax but you need one detail then one bottle of wax plus some PH neutral wash and wax.
He can either come to you or he has premises in Wakefield.

Thanks falkster that looks like a great finish. Roughly what would it cost me?

Menzerna is also highly recommended on German paint due to the hardness, I use 3 of their products alongside a G220 and am always happy with the results.
