E46 M3 Convertible
Discussion
Hi Guys
I havent been on here in ages mainly because i sold my E60 M5 and bought a 535D. Needless to say that the 535D is very boring - infact the only good thing about it is that it can do loads of MPG!!
I have therefore decided to buy an M3 as a sunday car and keep the 535d as my 'sensible' car.
I have viewed a few M3's now and have been very disappointed by the condition. I saw one yesterday which i think i may buy however something dosent feel right about it. It is all clear from an HPI point of view - it looks straight and the service history stack up against the mileage. It has had some paint on both front wings which has been done well and i cannot see any accident damage.
The reg is AU53 OMK - does anyone know the car? previous plates were FOX 128 and M30SDE
On other question is that according to the service book it has never had a coolant change. The car has only done 30K miles however i assume it should have had one - is this really bad if it hasnt had one? I plan to get it serviced as soon as i get it however just wondered if the lack of a change upto now was a big cause for concern or not.
I look forward to hearing from anyone!
Many Thanks
Jonathan

Coolant change is every 4 yrs IIRC.
There are loads of nice ones out there, skip any that are less than 100%.
Oh, & BMW warranty (for me) is a must.

Hi Darren
You car looks great apart from the fact it is SMG - i really only want a manual this time. I had the E60 M5 which had the SMG and really missed the feel of driving with a clutch and as the M3 will be a toy car I want it to be fun - i feel that with the SMG that a bit of that fun & perhaps skill away from the driving experience.
I would love to know if anyone knows that car i am looking at..
Cheers
