are e46 m3s going up in price?

I ask because it seems even 2002 model convertibles have asking prices of 13000+. I'm sure I used to see them at slightly cheaper prices last year.

I've been looking for one, on and off. But it seems hard to find the spec I want at a good price. I want a facelift black conv, with red leather pref. Smg satnav xenons too. I wouldn't mind an estoril blue one either.

The closest one to me at a dealer bmw specialist is asking 17k for an 04. I think that's overpriced or is it??

Is it best to get these from a dealer or privately. I've seen a few private sales for 12-13k for 04s but they're based in birmingham (!) I really don't want to get a thrashed example with fake history and 25 launch controls done on it!

Well mate summer is approaching, or what we have left of it.
Vert will always command slightly higher prices around this time and drop back down again afterwards.

I always buy private, for what you save it gives you a repair fund just in case. You wouldnt buy one unless it had a stack of reciepts to back up the history so those, the service book and the MOT certs all show the audit trail. If someone has a car like that they would keep everything. If not, dont buy it!!

I'm considering selling my SMG coupe as I fancy a change, and a scan of the classified for similar cars to mine revealed that the values of E46s seem encouragingly strong at the moment.

Without completely hijacking the thread, what premium should I consider for my AP 6pot and 4pot brake combo? The difference that it makes to the car is night and day.
