Hi all,

Just drove home from town and the traction control light came on and will not switch off again. Ive just checked the manual to see what the warning light means and it says that there is a problem with the TC and that it must be looked at ASAP. any ideas on what this problem could be and how i can fix it? is it anything serious or a simple fix.

thanks in advance

I guess an ABS sensor going faulty would be the most likely cause.

ok thanks for that! is there any chance that dirt or mud may be a factor in all this and simply a case of jet washing each wheel to clean all sensors?is there any way of knowing which sensor is faulty just by looking at them or do you have to hook up the car to the diagnostics to reveal the fault?

It could potentially be dirty, as this can cause problems.

If you can get to them I'd give them all a good clean and see what happens.

Unfortunately I think you need a code reader of some description to determine the faulty one.
