Anybody know this M3?

Does anybody know this car?
I checked out with Barons and yes, it has a full history with them, last one done at 126K miles.

I don't know it but I think it has just sold on Ebay for a whisker over £4k. It was up for £5k for sometime if I recall correctly.

That was me. Bit of a story behind it (as always).
Tried to view the car twice and the guy kept saying he was unavailable when we got near the viewing time, so I said I'd bid but on the proviso that it was as described.
Well, I looked at it.
On the surface looked great (as described). Drove well, pulled like a train, no rattles etc. There were some rust patches in the middle(!) of the doors and around the boot badge, plus a dent in the bonnet & a bit of laquer lift and one broken spotlight - not great but no deal breakers at this point.
Apart from the seats needing a good feed & maybe some scuffmaster treatment, the interior was near mint.
Had service books but no supporting paperwork - so no telling what had been done over and above the servicing.
The big issue for me was a number of oil leaks - one from the diff, couple small ones from the top of the motor and a fairly large drip coming from underneath. These were the killers for me.

The car could be turned into a stunner but would need a bit spending on it and just how much that was going to be was an unknown and unacceptable issue for me.
Still looking..... Spoke to the guy about this one, sounds promising and viewing this weekend
