Quite like the look of this:

Not sure how much you'd need to budget for a VANOS replacement, I hear that there are specialists that can do this kind of work for sensible money these days.

What do you reckon? Go in with £4.5k cash?

Get a pre-facelift without any VANOS troubles would be my opinion.

It's a high spec car - for the right price it would be worth it.. But if the previous owners haven't sorted the vanos it makes you wonder what standard the rest of the car has been maintained to.

Worth getting a decent specialist to check it out

Pretty sure that is a well looked after car. Jeeks knows his stuff and is a 5 fanatic. I'd buy a car from him anyway.
