At 6 foot 6 will I be able to drive a Z4M coupe comfortably?

Erm, go and sit in one.

If not, Sir might prefer a Volvo or a Ford Transit. Very accommodating.

You should be fine.

The seat goes back a long way.

+1

You'll fit ,but your knees will be either side of the steering wheel, as oppose to under neither it.

+2, you'll struggle. One of my mates struggles to even get in it.

Depends how long your legs are. Head room isn't too bad so if you have short legs for your height you'll be alright.

If you've got legs longer than about 33" you'll struggle to be comfortable.

I've got 34" legs and size 11 feet and find the seating position really comfortable (although the ride over rough roads is a different story) as a decent seat and adjustable steering wheel helps alot. If you can't fit in the Coupe though there isn't much sporting you will fit in. I'm only 6-2 but with longish legs and couldn't get along with Nissan 350z's through to 911's.

Only thing to note is if you rather ‘wide’ you might find the sports too narrow.

If you don't fit you will have to look at GT's like the Maserati 3200/4200 or fast saloons like the M3.

No it doesn't. I'm 6ft 4.5 with a 34/35 inch inseam. I found them too tight and my knees to far up around the steering wheel comedy car style.

IF BMW had bothered to install seats with flat backs a few more cms would be liberated.

Obviously the OP is going to have to try one to be sure.

I have approx 36 inch legs, most of my 'length' is in my legs, so it sounds like I might struggle...

I have previously owned a 350Z, which I found very roomy and then a 911 (996) which was OK but a bit tight. If I try and drive a Boxster it is too small to be comfortable.

So it sounds like the Z4MC is more Boxster size?

I only tried a 986 model Boxster and that was around the same as a Z4 with sports seats. I had to buy a Z4 with 'SE' seats to get another few inches rearward slideage. The Germans are not known for small people, so why do they make their sports cars so tight?

I tried a new Z4, that has more space and a nifty cutout on the dash so you don't bash you left knee. They obviously knew it was an issue.

FWIW TVRs have more than enough room (I know they may not be on the OP's radar though).

I'm 6'3", found the Z4M to be just about OK - better than the boxster, but only by a hair. I wouldn't choose either for my car - I don't like to feel hemmed in! 911 was better, and Aston V8V is very good for space.

6ft 5 with a 36" leg and feel like a sardine in a tin in a zed. Steering rack can't be moved into a sufficiently comfy position and left leg rubs against centre console. 350/370 zed on the other hand is roomy enough as is a Cayman.

I am 6ft 5 with 37" inside leg and I fit and find the driving position comfy enough (certainly better than a Boxster).

The steering wheel is adjustable for height and reach. I have the seat in its lowest position and just a nudge forward of the rearmost position (I find all the way back the backrest rubs and I find the rubbing noise annoying).

You will find, as has been mentioned, your knees will be either side of the steering wheel rather than underneath (but you probably find that in most cars anyway, I do).

It really depends on just how much space you want/need to describe it as comfortable/liveable.

You really need to try one (you will certainly fit), I think the drive will convince you, you want one... I have driven all the cars you have listed in your garage and the Z4M is by far the most enjoyable of them all - These cars are very underated and great fun smile

Try one, then you will know if it is for you or not.
