Does anyone have any experience of BMW Peterborough and their skills to deal with an E46 M3?

Given various issues with dealers and M cars I am cautious.

I appreciate the comments around using specialist Indy's but I still have the AUC warranty.

Thanks in advance.

Using an indy doesn't invalidate the AUC warranty AFAIK.

Yes it does. Its a third party insurance warranty so is not subject to the block exemption ruling.

Interesting. I've e-mailed BMW directly to see what they say on the subject.

Assuming you're referring to Sycamore. My experience is that the service department can be a bit hit and miss. Phil seems to be the most competent individual out front. In terms of technicians Simon has been very good when looking at my car and gives good advice based on sound knowledge. Their parts department are very helpful, though BMMiniparts are just down the road and generally undercut them by 20%

Expensive. Best indy around this area is Roythorne, King's Lynn

It has been suggested that I venture further south to BMW Murkitts in Huntingdon as they are CSL experts (albeit I have an E46 M3 so not quite the same).

Any thoughts/experience/comments?

Another advocate here for TWG ( Longthorpe Peterborough ). They did a great job looking after my old 944T.

I've also used Bensten Motors in St Ives for my E36 EVOs.

It does invalidate it in theory.

You will invalidate your AUC or extended warranty if servicing is carried out outside of this.

However, many people just make sure the servicing is in check and use an indy for maintenance.

I got my E92 from them and they've done a few bits on it since, I've found them fine to deal with.

BMW are currently "looking into" this for me.
