E39 PDC broken?

Guys; my pdc button has started to flash when I put the car in reverse. I'm guessing it's broken! But does anyone have any advice as to what the prob is and how to fix it please?

Yep, been there - tried the click test? If not, engine off, ignition on, engage reverse: listen to each sensor in turn, you should here a high pitched ticking sound - if you don't, then chances are, that one has failed. If none do it, I'd guess at the control module, but the sensors on these go down fairly frequently. If you find it & can get it out, then a night in the airing cupboard might work to drive out any moisture, or sometimes a squirt of WD40. Otherwise, it's a new one, don't buy a random eBay one, though, there are a number of different part numbers to catch the unwary.
