Don't know of it, you looking to buy? Seems very low spec, you could probably find better for the money.

What's missing except satnav?
I note it has HK wireless upgrade and xenon lights which are important to me but not aware of anything else it's lacking. Is it poverty spec then? redface

Doesn't seem too bad for a facelift car with those miles IMO. Sat-nav and 19s would be nice, but not the be all end all if you're not fussed. Full MD SH is desirable. That age and miles should have had the big inspection 2 service - check as it's 500+ depending where you go. Also new discs and pads at around that point too - again 500+ for the fronts alone. PS2s are circa 800 a set too. All of the above are relatively standard haggling points.

Looks a nice car at sensible money, as said if the history stacks up then why not ??...my opinion is that if the car and the price is right then whats the difference if it has nav or not ???...im not one that subscribes to it being a must have to be honest, as for the 19 inch wheels its personal choice i would say, the driver in you will want to keep the 18's on once youve tried both anyway and isnt the E46 M3 a well speced car in standard guise anyway...;)

Other than the HK and elec folding mirrors, everything else listed in the 'extras' section are standard fitment on the M3. Not that there are really many if any options worth having, although sat nav and 19's make quite a difference to price, whether or not that is justified is another matter.

I haven't seen the car yet, he's bringing to my office later today. At 58,000 miles what services should I expect it to have had? Are they roughly every 10-12,000 miles?
1,200, 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, 40,000, 50,000 - guessing like my other Bimmers it goes something like oil, service I, oil, service II, oil, service I, etc. so maybe a service II coming up?

You're about right, depending on the type of driving. And yes, as I said above (!) You're due an insp 2 if it hasn't had one already.

Hmmm. I've just seen it. Not perfect but pretty good. Goes well.
Looks like the Inspection II was skipped in favour of a I, not clear why. They'll either get a II done or reduce the asking price by £500-ish which seems fair enough. Definite knock from the engine when I switched off - he said they all do that. (?)
Two wheels could do with some work and the front tyres aren't great but otherwise seems fairly sound.
HK badged speakers with BMW Business head - is this standard?
Main dealer history seems complete except the omission of Inspection II above.

Umming and ahing at the moment. If he'll take my 330 and TVR for sensible money I'll probably go for it, though it's the first and only one I've tried. scratchchin

Oh yes, it's had new discs and pads on the rear and new springs on the rear too.

Confucius say "Never buy first car you look at"..........

Look at another couple to put this one into perspective IMO

Wise advice. Thinking about it and a few tips over at m3cutters and I've decided to continue the search...
Thanks for help and advice though - appreciated. thumbup
