Eibach springs for Z4M coupe???
Discussion
Hello again,
After everyones help last time re pads, i am back. I have a Z4M coupe with 19" CSL wheels. I am looking to uprate the springs to Eibach. As it lowers the car will i have a problem with the wheels. Has anyone done this, are they the right option, and does anyone know anybody fairly local to me who can supply and fit them? I am in Epsom, Surrey. I spoke to AMD and they have promised twice to call me back, and i refuse to keep chasing them!!!!

Assuming you have genuine CSL wheels then you won't have a problem.
My chum and I recently fitted Eibachs to his CSL-shod car without any clearance issues whatsoever AFAIK.
The difference in ride quality is apparently exceptional though. I'm sure he'll be along to extol the virtues better than I can.
Also, its worth while removing the camber pins at the same time to allow you a little more turn-in response.
ETA: If you are reasonably competent with a spanner, changing the springs will take you half a day to complete. It's not a complex job at all.

I have this set up and am in London - if you would like to see it in real life, give me a shout. I find the ride as acceptable and even more compliant that OEM. Only issue has been a reduction in ground clearance but this was only negotiating an unusually high speed bump.
I used a local garage to fit as my time is better spent doing other things.
The rears are a doddle but the fronts are the time consuming part - gone are the days when I can be bothered to do this. Remember your tracking would need to be set up once this has been done.

Cheers Rags,
Where in London are you?
I am going to speak to a garage over the road and see how much they will charge (i will never find the time to do it), how much did you pay to get them fitted?
Cheers
I would prudently estimate 4 hrs labour taking into account seized components etc.Where in London are you?

I thought i would update as now i have had my new Eibach springs fitted.
I have to say the difference is really noticable. At lower speeds the ride is not as firm (which on 19" inch wheels it was significantly firmer), but at speed, it feels alot more planted.
If that makes any sense to anyone, i guess what i am saying is, it makes a huge difference to the car (in a very good way)!!

Looking very nice, although I imagine that will settle a little more. I had H&Rs on mine before I moved to the KW Clubsports, and pretty sure it sat lower than in that pic, and the drop was supposed to be similar on both H&R and Eibach kits.
It's a hard car to replace, that's for sure! Longest car I've ever owned now, and still no plans to change... Mileage is proving a tough one to keep down though!
