Hey guys,
I test drove a couple of e46 M3s today and both seemed very nice. One of them though is coming from prestige dealer (not bmw) and when you lift off the clutch with the car in gear initially there is a slight knock from the back axle before the car starts to move. If you change from 1st to reveres and vice versa it does it each time. Any ideas on the problem or should I just walk away. Bearing in mind it will come with a warranty?

Any advice would be appreciated

Sounds like a bit of drive line shunt to me. I would bring it to their attention and insist it be rectified before you complete the transaction (if you intend to buy of course), simple wink

Simple case is it's a CV joint that needs replacing. It needs an inspection of the prop/driveshaft.
