Im finally biting the bullet and going for an M5. The trouble is the one im looking at has 20" AC Schnitzer wheels which i dont like. Are these an easy item to sell? And how much for? They come with good tyres. Im after a set of 19" M6 style wheels so if you know anyone who will swap????

Hi,

I've got an M6 with good alloys and brand new tyres. I'm willing to do a swap if you want.

Let me know.

Sounds like a plan. I'll email you when I have the car.

Word of caution - the M6 offset is different (on the rear) to the M5. (sorry!)

So is it a case of them not fitting or will spacers solve the problem? Or should I just wait for proper M5 ones in M6 style?

Don't think you can get genuine M6 alloys that are made for the M5. So many M5 with genuine M6 alloys around. Maybe checkout http://www.m5board.com for more information.

The E61 M5 Touring which 5th Gear tested (when it was launched) was on M6-style wheels; presumably it was a press car from BMW. Even the press photos showed the Touring on M6-style alloys.

Plenty of M5's on the market with M6 wheels, surely it was an option.
