hi all

ive got a few z4m's in my sights, anything under 20k basically from http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/national_search_res...

alls cars are BMW AUC, so i guess come with a full 1 year warranty?

but im hoping to persuade them into provide a 2 year warranty, what are my chances?

also if i get the car serviced at an an indy, will my warranty be then invalid.

oh and what are the chances of them throwing the 1st service in for free too? cheeky i know, but if you dont ask.....

mucho thankings!

You have more chance of driving the price down if you don't have a Part Exchange, and always buy at the end of the month if purchasing from BMW dealer and if you can wait December or January works a treat biggrin

Nobody is buying cars so gives you more bargaining power! Are you after a coupe or roadster?

Always worth seeing if you can get them to extend the warranty but I doubt you'll get far. Also, you have to have the car serviced at the correct intervals and by a BMW main dealer or approved garage or the warranty is void!

HomerJay, traditionally sales for used car are very slow in December & January , sales teams that need to meet their targets will drop their margins.

However you need to let these guys know that you are not wasting their time and once you have got that point over in a nice way they won't turn you down, more so if you don't won't to include your outgoing car in the deal.

Normal first comeback from the salesman is "are you going to buy today" if you answer in the positive this is normally followed by him going to ask his boss if he can do it, his boss will tell him to leave you hanging for a little while, because if you are still there then you are genuine, plus the wait is supposed to soften your resolve.

However the indys who own their own business won't fold that easy, because it's their money and not the companies.

Great cars! Had mine for nearly 2yrs! Had a few issues, but all resolved under warranty! No biggy.

CSL wheels, Eibachs, and smoothing the front plate holder are a must tho!

I remember your car, looked fantastic in Imola Red. I used to have a Z4 (and hopefully another next year), but never heard of smoothing the front plate holder mod.

Got any pictures? Do you just mean removing the "plinth" and screwing the number plate directly onto the bumper?

Well apparently the AUC scheme are crying out for these at the moment.

Just been offered £16,500 straight cash (no part/ex)by main dealer for mine who said they would then put it up for £19,500. Turned them down as don't need to sell for another 3-4 weeks yet until the house purchase completes.

As others have said before, best to hold off for a couple of months as i don't belive they will drop much off their screen prices at the moment.

good luck with your search. thumbup

Can I ask what dealer? I'm trying to sell mine at the minute, the dealers around my area all say they're overstocked.

Possibly - just passing on what he said on the phone which thinking about it is probably sales patter to justify what they offer.

Either way i'm going to have to accept it if it hasn't sold by the end of the month frown

I would honestly love a Z4M. But you would want about 19k + for your M?

My mini's about 13K.. Moving house in two weeks, so money is tight.. Id love an M though frown
