Hi All,

I'm wondering if you could offer me some advice on two subjects. I have done a search and found some interesting information, but it has only served to confuse me further.

I bought an E60 M5 about 15 months ago from a BMW dealer. So it came with a one year warranty. This has since expired (in July) and i'm wanting to purchase a new one. Being very careless i didn't realise it had expired and i'm wondering if this will count against me or prove to be difficult in securing another warranty?

My Car has done 34,798 miles, it has Full Service History and recently successfully completed an MOT.
Could anyone shed some light on a fully comprehensive warranty i might be able to buy, where to get it and how much roughly to pay. I would be eternally grateful.

I also need some bodyshop recommendations in the SW London area. Someone very kindly reversed into the back side panel, leaving a nice big dent and drove away without leaving their details. So i need to get this sorted too.

Again, i'd appreciate the advice and help of those who know far more about these things than i,

Regards

Mike

Meah,

Firstly, welcome to internet forums! in many cases, they provide excellent information which really can save you money !

The response you got back is a typical response from many - don't be taken aback too much by it, you'll soon get a thicker skin! In a roundabout way, the meaning of that response was to 'use the search' feature. The topic has popped up many times and with many potential pitfalls to lookout for and recommendations.

Have a good sit down through the search feature and begin to take in some of the topics and responses as the chances are you'll spot something which suits you and will make you investigate further. No doubt the same when you do searches for bodywork and south east london.

Other recommendations will also show up in places further afield, I know of two excellent bodywork places, here in West London/Slough area and one towards the Gatwick area.

You may also want to widen your searches on other more BMW focussed forums as well smile

Cheers, Dennis!

Only recently discovered myself but BMW now offer their insured warranty which you can take up on cars where the BMW warranty was allowed to lapse. Here's the link for a quote:

Thank you, was a bit surprised to be honest.

Slough and Gatwick are a little too far for me, but i really appreciate your words.
