Loose wing air vent trim E60 M5

Hi

When washing the car last week, I noticed that the silver trim (the one with the M5 logo on just above the indicator repeater) on the rear of the driver's side front wing is loose. It doesn't come out but pushing it back in doesn't seem to secure it properly either.

Anyone know how these things clip in and if there's an easy fix please?

The car is a 2005 model.

Probably snapped. Use this opportunity as an excuse to buy carbon fibre vents. i would.
