hi peeps, got a set of m6 alloys that are gunmetal grey with a polished face suffering from the usual weather getting under the laquer and making milky white lines. Spoke to a decent alloy refurber and he said best thing to do would be to get the complete face diamond cut but woulld have to keep on top off them every 2weeks with autosol to protect them and keep the shine. Question is i can't picture what they would look like completely diamond cut finish, the chap said he has done a set before and they looked the business. Has anyone else been down this route before as i'm not sure how they'd look from the factory finish

I really would not leave bare polished alloy on show! You will need to polish it almost daily from experiance and wash them every time they get wet on the road! Far better to get them painted totally and suffer the reduced show appeal for ease of maintenace. Also polising so often will wear the paint near the edges of the polished face.

If you get them refurbed properly, the diamond cut surface should be laquered and the rest of the wheel painted.
I agree that leaving the bare metal finish will cause you problems keeping them looking good.
I've sent loads of diamond cut Aston wheels to a place in south Wales called Renowheel. Its a small company and the job is always better than new. I highly recommend them.
I guarantee that yow wouldn't be dissapointed if they refurbed your wheels.

Pristine wheels do an excellent job in our experience.
