1M Coupe finally revealed
Discussion
It's such a shame it's not being offeredi n DCT as I love the falppy paddle box in my M3, plus the manual boxes in BMW's do not have a great feel about them.
As a car, it's a bit small inside too, I had a 123d for a year and it felt a little crampped.
no doubt, this car will be a stunner and will apeal, I'll stick with the M3 though...

Love it! love it! love it! My small car replacement isnt due for another 18months but this will be right at the top of my list. The depreciation hit should have them around low-to-mid-thirties by then aswell (I hope).
I'd have one in the most basic spec possible please.
What is this orange colour? Is it available on other models or is this a new colour just for the 1M?
- and as BMW are saying their going 'back to their roots' I really hope they re-release some of the old classic colours. Estoril Blue with the CSL alloys in antracite would look fantastic.
Lastly - How can people say they are disapointed with the performance/power? 0-60 in 4.7secs is bang on the money I would say.

I'd be interested in this in 12 months or so at 30-35k and also agree about the colour - launch colours of black, white and Valencia Orange (which is a metallic version of the M3 GTR orange) don't really do it for me but if they release it in a colour like Monte Carlo Blue or Frozen Grey (with anthracite alloys) i'd be much more interested.

Valencia Orange plus Sapphire Black and Alpine White are the only colour options.- and as BMW are saying their going 'back to their roots' I really hope they re-release some of the old classic colours. Estoril Blue with the CSL alloys in antracite would look fantastic.
BMW says there won't be any other colours offered.
Whether they will change their mind due to market pressure or not is another matter, but considering the relatively short production period for this car, I suspect that will be the case. There was a hint that at extra cost you might, and only a might, be able to order one in any of the other available 1 series colours......but, whether that happens or not is by no means certain.
Still nowt out there to replace my E46 M3. I will probably go E92 even tho its over-kill in terms of size etc. E92/3 is the last of the M Cars IMHO. Was hopeful that the M1 would fill the gap. I like to listen to the motor wail and exhausts fizz. May aswell get a Focus RS for half the price once you are in a turbo
?
My M3 is my favourite car ever! Fast, comfy(ish) quiet when needed, GT, economical enough, reliable (SMG included). I now intend keeping her much longer than the original plan since there is nothing that ticks all the boxes out there.
