I have roof bars for my M3 saloon so I can put bikes on the roof. I bought OEM roof bars don't know if aftermarket ones are available.

The mounting points are hidden in the roof - there are small flaps that hinge open and the mounting points are underneath.

This picture shows the same in a coupe roof.

no I don't think they do, I had to get new ones for the E92.

I've just bought a set for my E92 - we're off to Austria at Xmas and need somewhere to put the skis and snowboard!

The roof bar set was £114.90 + VAT (And if you're interested the ski/board holder is £72.30 + VAT)

All direct from my nearest BMW dealer.

Cheers all.

Already have the ski/board holder and have already used it this season (live in Austria). Works really well, but rather dents fuel consumption!

we took the M3 down to the south of France over the summer, with a roof box on, 2 adults, 2 kids and so much crap in the boot! I did not measure it exactly but the fuel consumption dropped from around 21mpg to 20mpg, I do mostly around town driving so this sounds about right.

I took family of four skiing to the Alps last year without needing a roofbox.

All our gear for the week in the boot, including one set of boots, four helmets, snow chains plus all the usual gear.

The secret to getting everything in the boot was using vacuum packs (bought from Argos) to pack bulky skiing gear.
