HI,

Maybe not the right forum, but I am looking at different options of cars and heavily leaning towards an M3 with DCT and 19” wheels and EDC. Maybe a Monte Carlo.

Anyways, before I purchase I need to sell my Cayman, which is where my questions lies. When selling your cars how do you ask for payment before you release the car to the buyer. I seem to remember when selling my last car we had quite a dispute over the payment process (cleared funds before releasing the car).

I will be buying the car direct from BMW but also have another car on a lease and which to part exchange and rearrange finance on an M3, unless you can recommend another way of getting out of the additional 2 years on the lease????

Drive one on 18" rims before you spec 19"s.

Well I would not transfer the car until I have the funds in my account. If there is no cash in my account it would mean I am literally giving the car away to someone as a gift!!!

Cleared funds is a must!

I too went from a cayman s to the m3 with dct and have never looked back.Dont get me wrong but i loved the cayman but on track the m3 e92 and e46 were in a different league in the handling stakes. On the road the cayman was a very fast car but after a while just lost interest.

have you got the bmw yet?
